Integrated Germ Management is an introductory course designed for people who mainly use antimicrobial pesticides, like sanitizers and disinfectants, at schools and childcare centers. Integrated Germ Management may best fit childcare providers, teachers, custodians, and food service workers, who clean and disinfect as part of their regular job duties.

Please contact your supervisor if you have questions regarding which course is required for your position.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) coordinators and anyone who may apply a pesticide at a school or a childcare center must take a Department of Pesticide Regulations (DPR)‐approved training course annually before using a pesticide. This includes but is not limited to disinfecting wipes, sanitizers, and weed killers.
